Abonnementenland had held ISO 9001 certification since July 2011. This quality standard is extremely important to us. ISO 9001 is all about customer satisfaction, a very important indicator to any company for knowing if 'they are on the right track'. It is therefore a very good thing that an independent party assesses impartially and ensures that everyone remains alert.
What is ISO 9001 exactly?
It is the standard that sets demands on an organisation's quality management system and the way in which the organisation deals with this quality policy. Quality policy is linked to a number of conditions: it has to be set down on paper and communicated to every employee. It serves to help the organisation ensure that customer satisfaction is increased and that legal requirements applicable tot the product or service are met. Moreover, the organisation has to control the business processes and be able to prove it. After an external audit an organisation may receive a certificate which proves that it meets the requirements fixed by the standard. This is a sign for the organisation and its customers that it works in a pre-determined and structured way on quality management (care, control and assurance). The objective of every care system is to work on continuous improvement.
